| TRACEE PICKETT is a rare combination -artist and business person with a bold approach of intuitive practice and applied knowledge within the business sector and the fine arts field. From her thirteen years of experience in upper management in business and ten years of running her own company, TRACEE’s experience is invaluable. Attending college later in life in the 90’s provided TRACEE a place to really expand her internal creative practice within her already successful work, as she continued to work full-time within the business district at companies such as, Dain Rouscher (now RBC ), Brambles USA (Chicago-London Based), Northwestern University Medical Center, and worked as a busy NY caterer which lead her to professional consulting analyzing company productivity. At times, TRACEE took odd jobs to return to full-time school -once she worked as creative designer for green gifts and gardens, and another job, landed her at an architecture firm... later, TRACEE spent ten years developing and teaching very successful fine arts programs within her own company at - Universities, Public, and Private Schools, Art Centers, State Rehabilitation Centers, and Private Companies. She is will be launching an on-line fine arts program to bring quality fine arts education to all who desire to learn. Beyond the artist's curriculum vitae, TRACEE is well-known for developing fine art educational programming with an emphasis on experiential learning.. as it's all about our experiences in life. Because with those experiences, comes greater knowledge! The artist has published works with VANDERBILT PRESS, THE GUGGENHEIM FORUM, DANA PRESS, and more. One of her DVD books is “A Painter’s Poetry Book”- no longer available, read her rants on environmental blogs, or read short writings that you can find within this site if you'd like, and wait for her book project "BLAU" revealing some of her adventures . And don't forget to buy a copy of The Chair Book if you can find it. As of now it is in the rare books catagory, just released last month. It will be a wait to sign-up for an on-line fine arts class into the future -20,000 years of art -which can be accessed anywhere in the world . 2010 was a big year -TRACEE was featured with her photographic work for her up and coming exhibition, MODERN MARRIAGE, in the internationally recognized university text book, REFRAMING PHOTOGRAPHY, by Rebekah Modak and Bill Anthen published by Routledge Press in the UK. Among awards, and numerous forums, including ISEA Chicago -with Lori Anderson, a UCLA film forum -with Sidney Pollack, The University of Berkley California's Writers Forum, Scientific Design Conferences in Northern Texas and New Orleans -the artist has presented her work in museums, solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, with designs -that toured the country from Manhattan to Honolulu with DESIGN WITHIN REACH. You might even find time to view TRACEE's online lecture: Wealth and Education in the US, which was presented in Chicago livestreem at international levels, gaining some surprising recognition / 2009 and beyond. The big news in the studio in 2010, was that the artist received a personal letter from President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in thanks for a work of art created by the artist and gifted to the presidential couple in 2009. And well, it's not every day that an artist gets an actual letter from the White House. What Fun REALLY! TRACEE works hard in the studio and believes in diverse ways of teaching which lead to contributing something more to the world, and is a member of THE COLLEGE ARTS ASSOCIATION, which is composed of professional artists, designers, critics, historians, and practitioners, whose works, projects, and publications are recognized and respected around the world and whose ranks include numerous recipients of prestigious awards such as the Tiffany, Fulbright, and Guggenheim fellowships.
2011, there have been numerous designs and such from the studio, and hopefully will be shaping up to be beyond the ordinary year.
